new 'puter

I just got a new computer. i'm sitting in the lobby of a haircut place where Cat is getting an exhaustive hair procedure done. meanwhile i'm playing with all the interesting new bits of this computer. it's really cool. i can't use it to take a picture of itself though, so you'll have to wait for that. anyway. it's awesome. that's my news.

thinking music

some music makes me think. some turns off my brain. i wonder what it is that defines which will do what. like is it rhythmically repetitive stuff that makes me brain dead? I don't know. but sometimes i need that. other times i want to be stimulated.. So i was listening to music to avoid having to listen to the gurgling and sputtering that passes for singing on tv these days. i'm kind of tired of contests on tv where sub-par singers compete for ridiculous titles.. it seems like it should be a smack in the face to all the professional singers out there that these people get so much attention... and advertising money. anyway. i'm tired of thinking about that. so i'm going to bed. goodnight.

I am having a very nice evening. I was feeling rotten this morning. just dragging.. people at work have been sick, so i worried i might be coming down with something. i decided to go home early around noon and struggled to drive home.. then i went to sleep. i had a great sleep. Cat was watching me and working on some stuff... it was very nice. then i woke up after much sweating, and felt really good. I'm still feeling really good so i expect the rest of my week will be productive and stuff.. i must have just needed some time and sleep... anyway... i'm going to go to sleep for reals now. it's gonna be awesome..

Super powers:

If you had a super power (or multiple ones) what would they be?

1. I want to be able to know the past... yes, i said past, not the future. I want to know how every story ended, middled, and began. Back to the beginning of time. Not just remember the past, as i knew it, but to actually know it as if it were the present.

2. nexto... I want to be able to tell a story from beginning to end (and there will be an end) that would be so riveting that once you start hearing it you can't stop until it ends... thus everyone remains enraptured by it, until i decide it's over.

3. three is a nice number. the third power i want is to be able to know the significance of any and every detail. knowing if it was meaningful, or how it is meaningful, no matter how far out the significance is.

Those are my three.. not at all traditional, .. or perhaps entirely traditional.. seems to me like those are three Norse god superpowers.. the first is probably Odin's, the second is Braggi's and the third is probably a Norn.. i just noticed that... after i picked them. how funny. ok. I'll leave it at that.
