waiting for the ipod to update
so yeah.. i was just noticing the last couple of days that i can't hear some of the music on my ipod when i'm using it in the car.. like through the tape deal... and i want to know if it's because i'm deaf or because the music is just quiet, or what. i figure it must be that the music is quiet, but i'm having to turn up the car volume way high and the ipod volume is all the way up like it's supposed to be. anyway. i don't get it. and i hope i'm not deafening. no good.

I didn't actually want to either, but I finally switched over. For awhile the old version had gone all html on me and the codes frequently got messed up, but in this newer one alot of my problems went away, and I approved. I just don't like having to merge with my gmail account to do it. Flickr finally forced me to merge my 'old skool' account with a yahoo account I will never, ever use, and that made me slightly bitter. At least with blogger I was already using gmail, I won't ever use the yahoo mail. bastards. I imagine one day blogger will force the issue, but they'll probably wait a bit.
I'd really like to find out how long it will take until they totally switch over and how long you'll be the stubborn pseudo-old-man you are about these sorts of things. "You damn kids! I'm not switching to some techno-crazy blogger. Nosirree!"
I actually felt exactly the same as Courtney - I was bitter about the flickr change, but less so about the blogger change because I already use (and like) gmail. I've had a *couple* of problems with the new blogger - if I use their button to automatically insert a link sometimes it screws up and puts it in the wrong place (even though I'm highlighting the right text), and it makes me log in to leave comments even though it logs me in automatically when I want to create new posts. Blah. But that's small potatoes, really. And it works MUCH better on my Mac now - before I couldn't even change my post time, let alone use their "insert link" button!
so fine... i did it. i switched it over. i better have something good to show for it. nothing yet.
