a real word... cram

ok. so it's only thursday night but i'm posting again. why not? i had an interesting conversation tonight... on the telephone.. after taking a nap - which was nice. So Shannon and i talked about many things.. one of which was the ridiculous political atmosphere in this country.. and how numb so many people are because they're too busy with their own lives and jobs and possessions to be educated about important things... and then politicos are able to get them riled up about things that make no sense at all. or get them too afraid of the bogeyman of the day to make a rational decision. thereby holding us all captive in our ignorance. a country like jefferson envisioned would never fall for any of the wars since WWII.. they're all marketed to us on an entirely false premise. no one is interested in keeping communism at bay... CHINA. it's not about communism but how many wars (cold or otherwise) did we say was about keeping the reds at bay? none of that ever mattered. there was always another reason. however wars are marketed to people with simple and slick arguments that stick in their heads and can be made into slogans and signs. you need something that doesn't invite further questions... if our country ever takes military action against iran you'll see. i don't see how we could, unless we did alone, which sounds unwise anyway. i just worry that one of these days the people who we aren't bombarding with propaganda will put the pieces together and try our government for war crimes. someday we won't have the clout to stop somethign like that and i bet it will be unpleasant. well.. maybe it's just the growing pains of a young or old country.. i guess we're an old country.. i think there have been some revolutions that restart the clock.. but wow.. you can't keep acting like the spoiled kid on the playground much longer.. one day someone will realize that they have enough other kids to play the game they want to play and they don't need your stuck-up ass to play... then where will you be? talking to yourself about how you used to be the captain of the team... good times.. ok. well. i dont' know what to do about it. but if we ever get tried for torture in the international community that will be the oficial end of our time at the top. then for at least a generation no one will listen to us. or anyone associated with us.... meh. morals just aren't some peoples' strong suites.. like rove and gonzales and bush. and especially cheney. not an ounce of morality in that man. there's my jab at a public official. i'll be done until i'm riled up again.

Could you go into more detail as to what the right thing we (America) should be doing and should have done? I keep hearing people saying how terrible and wrong we are but no one saying what we should have done and should be doing. So, as far as 9/11, terrorists and Iraq go, what should we have done?? As far as Iran goes, what should we do? As far as countries who have serious human rights issues, what should we do? YIKES! I know but I need to hear these things from somone who does not lose his cool and won't yell at me and make gross assumptions about me because of my beliefs. I also looked up this info and was sickened by the pure hatred in the tone of most of the writing...please help! You can write me a nice long message on myspace...if you want. I'll trade you information for some rockin home-made indian curry...whaddya say?
