[teeth chatter]

It's really cold in here. our heater seems to have a malfunction, so it doesn't stay on longer than a couple minutes, certainly not long enough to heat the house. AND Cat has a big cold. no offense to her team, but those people keep passing some funky gross diseases around. they should take more days off. to get better. anyway. Having a severe sore throat and a fever last night, a cold house wasn't the best thing for her, but I borrowed a space heater from my 'rents and set it up in the room near her, the living room. so she could watch tv some, and it worked out ok.. it's not warm up here, but it's bearable, considering the frost outside. i'm wearing two sweatshirts and a teeshirt underneath, with the hood from one sweatshirt up... because it's just plain cold. anyway.. the good news is i called the guy who fixes heaters and this morning he called back, and said he thought i might be able to fix it myself. though i wish i had known that last night, it was nice of him to walk me through it over the phone, but upon the discovery that it was not as simple as he thought, or i was incompetent, he decided to come look. so he'll be here shortly. i will hopefully be able to take care of Cat in relative comfort soon. woo..
