oh yeah..

the other day (perhaps a few saturdays ago) i was talking about something... music i think. and i couldn't remember the name of some song.. something famous and recognized by Cesar Franck. It was not my favorite thing he wrote.. and i couldn't remember the name.. i knew it was one of those latin named things that is part of some churchy repertoire or something.. we went through a long list of possible things.. the thing i couldn't remember was panis angelicus. Pepe, there you go.

Oh my god... that's not a standard piece at all! I mean... it's not un-standard, but it's not like everybody has written one. Just two of them. Two! Two, do you hear me?!? TWO! It's no Dies Irae or Hoc Est Corpus (heh heh) or other Latinum Rantum stuff. Just a Panis Angelicus? Oy!

I also mean... I didn't know Franck wrote one of those. They're very popular where I come from.

p.s. For the remedial readers of your brogg, that means "bread of the angels" and is usually used for a communion-type hymn.
