lawnmower business
ok.. so today i figured i'd mow my disgusting lawn. it was long. not just long, it looked like a wild scottish moor. so full of moss it generates a low cloud of mist. it's brilliant. i love it. however, it doesn't belong that way in our neighborhood... i had to mow it. last time i tried to mow the lawn was a long time ago. i think i twas right before halloween. the thing ran out of gass when i was almost done and so i left the lawn with a mowhawk. it filled back in thanks to our very mild winter. right. i left the mower with no gas over the winter. i didn't like it to begin with because you have to hold onto the thing to keep it going. i hate that. . . . anyway. so i had to get a gas can and then fill it with gas. so we went to the store early and did just that. when we got back in and filled the gas tank i wheeled out the mower and hit my head on a low hanging branch. so then i started it up.. seems ok, a bit of stale grey smoke. then i started to mow. it was going ok. the grass wasn't wet and it was super long so i anticipated some trouble.. but wasn't having much. until i got two rows done. the thing stopped.. so i started it.. it worked ok.. i went a little farther, then it stopped again. so i turned it over and cleaned it out and started it again.. again it stopped.. so i started it gain. moved a little farther. stopped again. i pulled the string again.. it breaks.. snaps right off. boo. i walked inside holding the tattered string for cat to see.. we went to the store and got another mower.. a push reel mower. i like it. i expect i'll have to go over the grass a few times to get it back to normal, and then i'll have ot do it more regularly but i don't care.. i never have to hold that bar all the time, i won't get blisters.. i'm very pleased.. very pleased indeed.
