They must conduct random searchesof 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with properidentification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail,85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former GovernorJoe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone because ofprofiling.
Let's send this to as many people as we can sothat the Gloria Aldre ds and other dunder-headed attorneys along with FederalJustices that want to thwart common sense, feel doubly ashamed of themselves -if they have any such sense.

SELECTIVE OBSERVATION -- this manages to leave out every single terrorist incident perpetrated by non-muslims. hmm? does anyone remember oklahoma city bombing? every single presidental assassination or attmept (robert kenedy was not president, and several others were assassinated by disgruntled americans). how about the unabomber? what about ever abortion clinic bombing.. that is terrorism. what about the terrorism we commit in other places? like iraq...
GENERALIZATION--again, the people who don't like america aren't only to be found in countries where islam is the predominant religion, also, far from all muslim males between the ages of 17 and 40 would ever do anything like these things. how many xtian americans would ever kill an abortion doctor? i doubt the number is above 500.... (and that's a liberal estimate... )
SMALL NUMBERS--there are 12 examples. that's it. planes were hijacked in the seventies all the time. presidents have been assassinated since the 1860s..
TWO WRONGS MAKE A RIGHT--o.. because they *may* pose a threat, we should strip them of their constitutional rights. rights you would be outraged to be stripped of. "but i'm willing to trade my freedom for security!" you say? well, guess what, you're an idiot. you will never have security. there will always be a chance someone will hate you and kill you. a much greater chance if you go around offending people, and humiliating them, and disrespecting them.
PIOUS FRAUD--if you think this racism is justified by the end result of you being less paranoid.. then you're petty. because you wont' be less paranoid. not as soon as something slips by your false screen and you get attacked again.
oh, and a note about "common sense"... i don't believe that common sense is universal at all. if you think about it, if it was, fill in the blank test questions would always be just as easy as the ones where you get multiple choices. assuming you went to the classes.

The title is puketastic-ly funny, of course. And I think you did pick excellent fallacious arguments. This is an absolutely ridiculous email to be forwarding around, period, but particularly NOW. Because making sure that the airlines screen more "muslim males extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40" is way more important than.... oh, helping the Tsunami relief fund or curing cancer. Petty, petty, petty....

I've been reading your posts. Your opinions are (sometimes) (mildly) interesting, but your delivery shouts "I HAVE LOW SELF ESTEEM, BUT I TRY TO CONCEAL IT WITH PSEUDO-INTELLECTUAL ARROGANCE!" If you really enjoy challenging the ideas of others, you probably don't mean to sound so impotent. Just relax; maybe try arguing for the other side sometimes, just for variety. Your ability to convey (and to understand) big ideas will improve.

You can throw out insults all you want, and whine that he should try to argue for the other side sometimes (Why? This isn’t a debate exercise, it’s HIS OPINION) and that he should try to be aware that the people he disagrees with are ”… doing the best they can with the resources they have.” But if he were to water down his bitter, angry little essays he’d be writing them for YOU and not for him. I'll merely offer to the cowardly-enough-to-not-sign-his-or-her-name anonymous responder who decided to spend part of their life calling you names the wisdom that "pseudo-intellectual" is a weak blowfish of a retort used by those who misunderstand the importance of a necessary balance between the mental, spiritual, and emotional qualities of humanity; and to you my concurrence that the fallible logic used in the basely racist e-mail forward you posted is dehumanizing in the worst way -- reminiscent of the propaganda tactics of the second World War. Congratulations are in order to Brett, for pre-emptively doing exactly what this condescending high school debate coach has recommended by leaving the original argument in its entirety to speak for itself. If those are the words that "the other side" has put together to present their case, then by all means, tear them apart instead of complacently sitting by and letting that tripe fester. Particularly in this forum where no one of any international consequence will read them. It's healthier.
I'll also point out before I go that because of its generalizations, a similar list could be created to indict any major religious or ethnic group (with the possible exception of Amish children) and serve them with papers.

i just want to thank you all for this outpouring of defense. and thank you anonymous person for the opportunity to feel way better about myself than i would have without your weak challenge. when the day is done, i think you mostly embarrassed yourself. and the rest of us...even those who tend to disagree with me, or just enjoy disagreeing with me (but still have valid points to make) all look much the wiser.
I'm with the majority on this one. The broggster is absolutely correct in the opinions he voices, and I find his delivery flawless. The world is chock-full of idiots. If we don't speak out, they will be emboldened to continue implementing their moronic, but confusingly successful master plan for ruling our planet. We need to stay focused on criticizing the world as it is, in order to inspire someone else to create the world of our dreams.
