because i said i probably wouldn't.

what goes around keeps going around until it's done. and apparently, it wasn't quite done.

Reminds you of an old friend: Sleeping with the Television on, billy joel (indeed it does shannon)

Makes you cry: The 3rd segment of rachmaninoff's first suite for two pianos.. i can't explain why..

Makes you laugh: hmm.. Bangs, by They Might Be Giants. i pretty much think everything on mink car was funny enough to make me laugh, like i've got a fang, that one is brilliant.

Makes you want to dance: one song, four words: Jump in the line, harry bellafonte. if you read this, you know why. ;)

Reminds you of the one you love: Across the Universe, for/from my beautiful wife.

You wish you wrote: Cesar Franck's Prelude, Choral and Fugue. most brilliant thing i've ever heard.

You want to get married to: i already got married, so if you're talking about the processional song, it was the prelude from Bach's first cello suite. but i always think of Halcyon and on and on... because that's what was playing when we left the reception, and it was a perfect moment (one of many that day).

Makes you want to mosh/bang your head: hmm. gotta be Trogdor.. by limozeen (with strongbad)

Used to hate but now love: when i hate songs, they don't get redeemed. so i can' thtink of any...

You like to wake up to: since it seems to be on every freaking morning, that coldplay song clocks. it's purdy. i like just about everything on that album..

You like to fall asleep to: The most calming (or mind-numbing) music for me to sleep to is probably any bebob music, like miles davis in his heroin days. because where it goes is this close to random, so it turns off my brain, as opposed to the heavily regulated music of the baroque era, which sets my brain a churnin'.

You would like out of your parent's record collection: the beatles. my dad has them all. but most importantly the weirder later stuff. heh.. i'd also dig the styx albums. hoohoo...

You love but you wouldn't know about if it wasn't for a friend: what would i have never heard.. ever..i know, it was david wilkins who would play the smoking popesand although there are controversial X-tian overtones, i really really enjoyed their style.

Makes you think of the moon: the moon. what music makes me think of the moon. ironically, not claire de lune. i would have to say in answer to this the first suite for piano by rachmaninof again. the whole thing this time.

Makes you think of the sun: the sun.. let me think. oh, the great gate of kiev, by mussorgsky

Makes you think of home: home.. the place i live, oh, this one might sound weird, but there's a song by Madness, called Michael Caine. that one.

Makes you think of sex: two things, because they're supposed to, not because of any particularly relevant association. one, is ravel's bolero. cliche, i know. number two, crash, dave mathews. which i don't particularly care for.. but still.. answers the question.

Makes you think of being alone: Bjork, Hyperballad.

Makes you angry: i can't think of a song that makes me angry. wait.. wait.. i'll come up with something.. oh, right, i've got it. just about *everything* they sing on american idol. during the competition, and at the end. the end song is always a piece.. certified piece. so i've said it.
